The biggest announcements from the Google I/O 2021 keynote

Google kicked off its annual developer conference Google I/O on Tuesday. The event is hosted every year by the company to announce new products and services. 
So here are the most important announcements that were made by Google during the annual developer conference.


Google Lens:- You can get details or take actions on your photos, objects around you, and image searches with Google Lens.
important: Before you can use Google Lens download and install the Google Lens app.
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Photos app Photos.
Select a photo.
Tap Google Lens Google Lens.
Depending on your photo, check the details, take an action, or find similar products. 


Android 12:- Google provided a glimpse into the new design of the Android 12, which has been named “Material You”. The company released the first beta of Android 12 to allow users to check out some of the features that will be launched. The Android 12 comes with a lot of changes and a personalization option.


WearOS:- Google announced the biggest update to date for the Wear platform, including new features, APIs and tools for developers. The Android Studio Arctic Fox Beta includes a developer preview of the new Wear system image and tools for developing and testing Wear apps without a device. 
The company also announced the start of a health and fitness platform built in partnership with Samsung. According to a blog post from Google, the platform “provides fitness and health data generated from sensors, contextually aware algorithms and all-day health monitoring.” Developers can use the APIs to create fitness and health experiences for wearables with a simpler development experience. The platform makes it easier to manage hardware and sensors. 


Lamda AI language:- A new LaMDA conversation technology, which is driven by Artificial Intelligence was also announced at the conference. Google calls the new technology its breakthrough conversation technology.

Google Photos:- Google at its IO event on Tuesday night announced a range of AI features for Google Photos users. Google noted that around 4 trillion photos stored in Google Photos are never viewed. It has now launched a new feature called Little Patterns, which as the name suggests, will identify photos with similar objects using Artificial Intelligence (AI). “Starting later this summer, when we find a set of three or more photos that share things like shape or color, we’ll highlight these little patterns for you in your Memories,” Google noted in a blog post.

After identifying photos with similar objects, Google will group them into photo albums


Auto Delete:- You can enable Auto-delete feature from ‘Manage your Google Account’
This will ensure that your location, history and YouTube Activity is deleted automatically
Current users can choose between 3 or 18 months auto-delete option

How to auto-delete your YouTube activity and Google Search 
Open Gmail and tap on your profile icon on the left side of the screen.
Click on the ‘Manage your Google Account’ option.
Scroll to the bottom and tap on ‘Get Started’ under ‘Take the Privacy Checkup’ category.
Now select ‘Web & App Activity’ – If it is enabled then you will find an option ‘Auto-delete’.
You can enable ‘Auto-delete activity older than 18 months’ or 3 months. 
Tap Next and confirm.
Your preference will be saved.


Google Maps
Google Maps will now save users from hard-breaking moments by providing information about the routes which avert the user’s chances of getting into a hard-braking moment. “We’ll automatically recommend that route if the ETA is the same or the difference is minimal. We believe that these changes have the potential to eliminate 100 million hard-braking events in routes driven with Google Maps each year,” the company wrote on a blog post. The Live View tool will also display more information than ever.
